Western Conference Finals: Spurs hold off Warriors, 121-136 (1-0, Spurs)

Avery Bradley opened the second quarter with a three-pointer, giving the Spurs a ten-point lead at 38-28. Before long, the story became Kawhi Leonard's perfect shooting display as he boldly dashed to the rim and notched tough points. Iman Shumpert would have a nice night, splashing in daggers from deep to give the Spurs a 72-59 lead at the half, the Spurs going 69% from the field.
Steph Curry kept firing, but nothing fell for him in a painful showing. Meanwhile, Shump nailed five then six threes, pushing the lead to sixteen. Demarcus Cousins spear-headed the opposition in the second half, but got knocked to the floor by Pau Gasol with a nasty block. Kyle O'Quinn dunked the ball past Andre Iguodala then hit the mid range jumper, showing off his versatile talent.
Leonard finished with 29 points on 12-12 on the court. Curry conceded the loss with 21 points and 6 assists, 3/10 from 3PT range and 5-15 overall. Klay Thompson had 19 points but also went 3-8 from long range. Draymond Green scored 15 points, effective from long range due to San Antonio's consistent backing off on defense. Kevin Durant never really got going tonight, but Kevon Looney had 9 points and Iguodala had 8.
For the Spurs, Shumpert scored 25 points with a block and a steal. Gay had 16 points and 8 rebounds, splashing three from deep with a block and a steal. Patty Mills contributed 15, 5 and 5. Dejounte Murray dished 11 assists and 14 points. Kyle O'Quinn had 11 points, 7 rebounds and 2 steals. Skal Labissiere had 9 points with a steal and a block. Pau Gasol scored 8 points with 2 blocks. Davis Bertans made a nice shot over Durant on the wing.
